(1) Every Nepalese ship must keep certificates and logs as per this Act.
(2) Such certificates and logs shall prove that the ship's identity, seaworthiness and other requirements for a seagoing ship are fulfilled.
(3) The language of such certificates and journals shall be Nepali. But along with Nepali language, English language can also be used as a second language.
(4) Such certificates and logbooks should always be kept on board the vessel and should be submitted whenever required by an authorized officer of the vessel office or a Nepali diplomatic or commercial representative.
